The US President Donald Trump has made more than 10,000 misleading statements in less than 850 days, including claims on Special Counsel’s report on Russian meddling into the 2016 election.
According to the Fact Checker the number of false or misleading claims by Trump as of April 27 was 10,111, and that’s in 828 days. In a 45-minute interview with Fox News on April 25 president made 45 claims; eight-minute talk with reporters on April 26 – eight claims; 19-minute interview with Mark Levin – 17 claims; speech to the National Rifle Association – 24 claims; and the campaign rally on April 27, which Trump attended instead of the White House Correspondents Dinner, – 61 claims.
One of his most repeated claims is that the border wall is being built even though the government shut down the funding for that project. An average of less than 5 claims a day in the first 100 days, which could have resulted in about 7,000 claims in Trump’s four-year presidential term, increased to nearly 23 claims a day in the last seven months.
