US President Donald Trump stated Saturday that military action against Iran “is always on the table until we get this solved,” reported the Washington Post
On Thursday President Trump called off a military strike against Iran when he was told that the operation would kill as many as 150 Iranians. He explained that he didn’t want to kill people.
“I don’t want to kill 150 Iranians. I don’t want to kill 150 of anything or anybody unless it’s absolutely necessary.”
He added that US is “putting additional sanctions on Iran.”
“Some of them are already in place. We’re putting additional sanctions on, they’re going on slowly and, in some cases, pretty rapidly, but additional sanctions are being put on Iran.”
It is unclear which particular sanctions will be imposed as President Trump did not go into the details.
