Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, said Wednesday that resignation of the US National Security Adviser John Bolton will not change the US-Russian bilateral relations, Sputnik News reported.
“We do not think that presence or resignation of one official, even at such a high level, can significantly impact US foreign policy,” Peskov said.
He did not fail to mention that Russia is willing to improve its relations with the United States. “But we cannot find this solution on our own,” he said. “Only two parties together can do it, so we hope for this kind or reciprocity, and hope that this political will is to manifest itself, sooner or later.”
He also expressed his opinion that the US President Donald Trump’s decision to fire Bolton was the US domestic issue.
“And we do not intend to meddle in these affairs, we never meddled, by the way, and do not plan to meddle now.”
