Wednesday Donald Trump Jr. appeared before the Senate Intelligence Committee for the second time as there were some discrepancies between his and other witnesses’ testimonies back in 2017. The interrogation behind closed doors lasted for almost three hours.
Having testified Trump Jr. told reporters that the matter “is finally over.” “The reality is that there was nothing to change. If there needed to be clarification because Michael Cohen – who let’s not forget is serving time right now for lying to these very investigative bodies — I’m happy to do that,” Trump Jr. said.
“I don’t think I changed anything of what I said because there’s nothing to change. I’m glad this is finally over,” he added. “We were able to put final clarity on that and I think the committee understands that.”
When asked whether he was worried about perjury charges, Trump Jr. said, “Not at all.” Committee members did not comment about Trump Jr.’s testimony.
