Donald Trump leaves for G20 Summit

US President Donald Trump left the White House on Wednesday to attend the annual meeting of Group of Twenty, which will be held in Osaka Japan on June 28-29.

Before departure President Trump spoke to the reporters outside the White House. “I’m heading to Japan, Osaka. And we are going to be meeting with a lot of different countries, many of whom have been taking advantage of the United States but not so much anymore, and soon not at all anymore,” Trump said.

“I am meeting with Russia, China, many countries. We are meeting with many countries. We have been ripped off by everybody over the years. They are not ripping us off anymore. A big difference right now. We are meeting with China. Just so you know, China has been paying us billions and billions of dollars. Until I got here, they never paid to this country 10 cents. We will see what happens with China, Russia, Japan, many countries.”

On the sidelines of the Summit President Trump will meet with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Friday and the Chinese President Xi Jinping. Trump will also meet the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time since Modi took the office. The US President said he was looking forward to meeting with Modi.
