Donald Trump’s Impeachment

Muller’s investigation

Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and most Democrats questioned when Donald Trump will be accused. Dozens of Democrats insisted on impeachment after Robert Mueller’s report about Russian intrusion into the election in 2016 where obstruction of justice from President mentioned.

Mueller himself supposed that accountability for Trump’s responsibility may be held by Congress but not the criminal justice system. The House speaker, Nancy Pelosi reminded of Congress debt to bring Mr. President to justice – not matter would be successful or not, and forced Democrats to carry on their investigations.

The divergence of view could set the party against each other that would serve as a threat for Democrats to overthrow Donald Trump in 2020.

In March Pelosi claimed that

impeachment would be “so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path”.

The fact of negative effects of impeachment cannot be denied as well. Trump assures that he has not done anything bad, and rejects different investigations on his behaviour. Moreover, he would not refuse from foreigners interference into the 2020 election if they could help win.

Although Democrats are dissatisfied about Trump’s attitude, they are not ready to resume impeachment yet. However, more than 70 lawmakers call upon ethnical and constitutional responsibility of the President.
