FBI interviews with Bruce Ohr on Spygate released

Released memos from FBI interviewing Bruce Ohr, former US Associate Deputy Attorney General, show that FBI, US Department of State and DOJ kept working with former British Intelligence agent Christopher Steele even after his firing from the FBI, reported Judicial Watch.

Judicial Watch released memos from the interview of Ohr with the FBI, obtained as a response to a lawsuit filed by the organization and confirming that Ohr met with Steele for a number of times after his firing in December 2017. Their meetings repeatedly took place up till the appointment of the special counsel Robert Mueller in May of 2017. Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, said that “these new Bruce Ohr FBI 302s show an unprecedented and irregular effort by the FBI, DOJ, and State Department to dig up dirt on President Trump using the conflicted Bruce Ohr, his wife, and the Clinton/DNC spies at Fusion GPS.”

“The FISA courts weren’t informed of this corrupted process when they were asked to approve and re-approve extraordinary spy warrants targeting President Trump.”

In his interview Ohr described Steele as a person “desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and passionate about him not being the US President.”

Dan Bongino, American conservative commentator, said that the FBI and DOJ carried out an “information laundering operation.”

“There was an effort to target the Trump team with information that was factually inaccurate–that he was colluding with the Russians,” he said.

Bongino suggested that Steele did not write the infamous dossier by himself, moreover, he said that Steele possible did not write most of it. “Now we know that Nellie Ohr in fact put together a dossier,” he said. Nellie Ohr, wife of Bruce Ohr working for Fusion GPS at the time, reportedly did a research on Paul Manafort, former Trump-campaign chairman, and her research made it into the dossier.

Bongino also compared Steele dossier to an article by the Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson and said that it “IS the dossier.”

“I encourage you to read that article today,” he said.

Judicial Watch is currently suing the Department of Justice to get the “communications between two of the pivotal players in the Deep State, anti-Trump collusion – former FBI official Peter Strzok and Ohr.”
