As tensions between the US and Iran rise, Iranian National Security and Foreign Policy commission Chairman Mojtaba Zolnour claimed that if the US does attack Iran, “only half an hour will remain of Israel’s lifespan,” reported Sputnik News.
Zolnour made the comments in an interview with an Arabian TV network Al-Alam on Monday. He also commented on a recent statement by the US President Donald Trump that he stopped an attack against Iran 10 minutes before it was supposed to be launched. Zolnour claimed the statement to be “political bluff” and said that “If they [the Americans] had predicted their attack would be successful, they would not have cancelled it and it would definitely have happened.”
Javad Zarif, Foreign Minister of Iran, also commented on Trump’s statement earlier last week. “You were really worried about 150 people? How many people have you killed with a nuclear weapon? How many generations have you wiped out with these weapons?” he questioned, referring to atomic attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
While the US-Iranian relations are not getting any better, relations between Iran and Israel also get tensed, as Israel accuses Iran of supporting terrorist groups. Yet Iranian authorities deny all the accusations.
