Jerrold Nadler: Let Republicans waste their time

News

Jerrold Nadler, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said Sunday that Republican members of the committee would waste their time if they decide to ask former special counsel Robert Mueller questions about FBI misconduct, reported The Hill.

Nadler appeared on “Fox News Sunday” and stated that there clearly was “nothing wrong.” When asked whether Mueller’s testimony could be more beneficial for Republicans than for Democrats, Nadler said that it was “very clear the Trump investigation was not predicated on the so-called dossier, there was nothing wrong with the FISA application, all the things that they’re talking about have been gone through,” he said.

“If they want to debate or discuss this irrelevancy, let them waste their time. What’s before the American people is the conduct of this president.”

Many Republicans have criticized the FBI’s handling of the investigation into Trump campaign. Mueller and his team did not find enough evidence to charge President Trump, but outlined 10 “episodes” of obstructive behavior of the sitting president.

Former Special Counsel is scheduled to appear before the House Intelligence and House Judiciary Committees on July 24. The testimony is set to begin at 8:30 am on Wednesday and last for about seven hours.
