May Day in NYC

On the May Day hundreds of people pour into the streets in New York to celebrate the Labour Day.

The Campus Action Network group organized The May Day walk and rally at The New School, protesting against the “outrageous” new fees, a rise of a tuition fees and housing costs.

At Columbia University, the representatives of trade unions and student groups rallied in support of the University staff. The Participants were wearing red clothes.

Activists from more than 100 organizations and trade unions get together to protest against Trump’s plans to build a wall on the Mexican border. The organizers of the rally “Tell Trump: the workers struggle has no borders” also call on people  to unite against greed and inequality.

Participants of  the “May Day rally: students and workers unite!”  demanded a fair salary for restaurant workers, free training for all students and contract  agreements for teachers.

More than ten community advocacy groups  rallied for the rights of workers and immigrants, and then marched  to the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue. The organizers of the other rally called on for the better protection of all public gardens.
