Mueller’s investigation is “an attempted overthrow of the government”

Muller’s investigation

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the investigation into Russia’s interference in 2016 election and Trump’s obstruction of justice was again condemned by the US president. “This was a coup” said Trump in his interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Thursday night. “This was an attempted overthrow of the United States government.”

The redacted version of special counsel’s report was released last week and covered some occasions when Trump may have obstructed justice but did not conclude it did happen. The president told Hannity that FISA court applications that are related to Mueller’s investigation would be “declassified,” and earlier he said he wanted the documents related to the FISA application to go public, but changed his mind, saying it could negatively affect Mueller’s investigation.

During his interview the president also slighted former vice president Joe Biden who is running for president in 2020 election. “He’s not bringing light bulb in the group, I don’t think he has a name that they know,” said Trump. “He’s coming on with the little cut statements about me,” the president said in response to the video announcement by Biden which says that Mr. Trump’s presidency was a “threat to the moral fabric of the country.”
