House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed to be ‘tired of talking about Donald Trump,’ as calls for impeachment get louder after Robert Mueller, who resigned as Special Counsel, publicly spoke about his findings on Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible obstruction of justice by Donald Trump, – reports USAToday.com
According to a report by the USA TODAY, in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel of the ABC, who is also known for criticizing the president, Pelosi said that impeachment wouldn’t lead to the president’s ouster, as “Republicans in the Senate are completely in the pocket of Donald Trump,” and would block any effort.
“He knows it’s not a good idea to be impeached, but the silver lining for him is that he believes he would be exonerated by the United States Senate, and there’s a school of thought that says if the Senate acquits you, why bring charges against him in the private sector when he’s no longer president?”, – said Pelosi
When the host asked her how Democrats cope with the untrustworthy information allegedly coming from the White House, Pelosi responded: “I’m done with him, in terms of talking about him.”
