House Speaker Nancy Pelosi commented on US President Donald Trump’s statement about information on political opponents from foreign governments and said that President “does not know right from wrong.”
In an interview on Wednesday Trump stated that he would listen to information from foreign actors and report it to the FBI in case he senses something is wrong. Pelosi said that such attitude was “cavalier” and assaulted American democracy.
“It’s a very sad thing that he does not know right from wrong,” Pelosi told the reporters. “It’s so against any sense of decency.” She also said that “everybody in the country should be totally appalled by what the president said” and accused Trump of a “criminal cover-up.”
In a Friday interview President Trump said that Pelosi’s comment was “a fascist” and “disgraceful statement” and claime that money paid for Steele dossier allegedly “went to Russia.”
“Her party got caught spying. If you look at what happened, Hillary Clinton with the money that ultimately went to Russia for the fake dossier, the totally fake pile of stuff….and the amount of money that was paid and was paid by Hillary Clinton and the DNC and it went to Russia, that’s the criminal,” Trump said.
