US District Judge William Jung ruled to dismiss Alva Johnson’s lawsuit against the US president Donald Trump and called her complaint a “political lawsuit,” reported Tampa Bay Times.
Alva Johnson, 44-year-old former Trump campaign staffer, claimed that Trump tried to kiss her without her consent during a rally in Florida in 2016. Johnson has also claimed that white workers of the campaign were paid more than their black colleagues.
“(Johnson) will receive a fair day in court, but the court will try a tort and wages dispute — not a political one,” the judge wrote. “If plaintiff wishes to make a political statement or bring a claim for political purposes, this is not the forum.”
The lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice meaning that Johnson can re-file it in 30 days term.
