The U.S. and Russia have agreed to hold a full-format consultations on strategic issues in July in Geneva. Director of Russia’s Foreign Ministry Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Vladimir Yermakov reported that they go on to form the agenda and nobody makes any conclusions until negotiations. They consider the talks a great opportunity of come back to “mutually respectful constructive” dialogue on the whole strategic agenda.
“There is an agreement to hold full-format consultations on strategic issues involving representatives of relevant departments the mid-July in Geneva,” he claimed.
The Russian Diplomat added that the US and Russia Representatives took consultations on further talks at the State Department on July 1-2.
“The meeting was of an ‘observing’ nature in the context of future strategic dialogue, the resumption of which was entrusted to the presidents of the two countries,” he said.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov reported that Moscow keep the renewal of conversation under attention on an expert level with the U.S. regarding the issues on strategic stability.
