“There is no time for a new investigation”: how Democrats are trying to use the Mueller report against Trump

Muller’s investigation

The partisan warfare over the Mueller report is raging, In a blistering assessment of both Trump and Barr, Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, Democrat of California, cast Trump’s behavior as “immoral” and “unpatriotic” and Barr as someone who abrogated his commitment to the American people to serve Trump personally instead.
Schiff wasn’t the only democrat accusing Barr in distorting the facts.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer issued a joint statement on Thursday accusing Attorney General William Barr of “deliberately distorting” Mueller’s final report.

“Special Counsel Mueller’s report paints a disturbing picture of a president who has been weaving a web of deceit, lies and improper behavior and acting as if the law doesn’t apply to him,” the Democratic leaders said. “But if you hadn’t read the report and listened only to Mr. Barr, you wouldn’t have known any of that because Mr. Barr has been so misleading.”
Within minutes of the release of Mueller’s redacted report, House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler announced he would subpoena the Justice Department for a full, unredacted version even as Republicans celebrated the findings of the special counsel and urged Democrats to “move on” from the Russia investigation.

“We clearly can’t believe what Attorney General Barr tells us,” Nadler, D-N.Y., told reporters at a news conference in New York City Thursday afternoon. “The special counsel made clear that he did not exonerate the president and the responsibility now falls to Congress to hold the president accountable for his actions.”

When asked if Congress holding President Donald Trump “accountable” means impeachment, Nadler said “that is one possibility” as he believes the report “was probably written with the intent of providing Congress a road map,” but he added “it’s too early to reach those conclusions.”
The anti-Trump campaign, which the democrats have launched with a new force, can continue until 2020, and if Trump is re-elected for a second term, then until 2024
