US President Donald Trump in an interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News aired Sunday said that he “might” turn over his “fantastic financial statement.”
“When you will see my financial statement, at some point I assume it’s going to be released, you’ll be very impressed by the job I’ve done. Much much bigger, much, much better than anybody,” said Trump.
When asked whether he was planning to turn over his tax returns, Trump responded: “No, at some point I might, but at some point, I hope they get it because it’s a fantastic financial statement. It’s a fantastic financial statement.”
Trump administration has been refusing to hand President’s tax returns over to the Democrats, saying that the request lacks “legitimate legislative purpose.”
“They’re asking for things that they should never be asking for, that they’ve never asked another president for. They want to go through every deal that they’ve ever done, they’ve ― what they’re doing is a disgrace.” Donald Trump
