US President Donald Trump in an interview with Laura Ingraham of Fox News Thursday said that US-Russian relations had been hurt by now-resigned Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential elections.
When asked about the current state of the US-Russian relations and whether he would want to improve them, Trump said, “we have a good relationship with Russia. I think it’s hurt by the phony witch-hunt.”
“I could have a good relationship with Russia,” said trump. “Again, we have what everyone wants.”
Mueller’s report released in April showed no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, which both Washington and Moscow had stated for a number of times.
