Volodymyr Zelensky to meet Donald Trump after G20 Summit

Borys Tizengauzen, Special advisor of the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview Monday said that the US President Donald Trump’s Administration sent an official invitation on May 30th for Zelensky to come to the US with a state visit. The dates of the visit are yet unknown. But the two presidents may also meet after the G20 Summit, which is to be held in Osaks, Japan, on June 28-29th.

“I think that the fact that Trump administration invited Zelensky means that the new president has credibility of the White House,” said Tizengauzen.

The President’s advisor has also discussed possible results of the meeting and stated that Trump-Zelensky meeting would indeed influence the US-Russian relations.

Earlier Robert Mueller, who led the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US elections, found that Kiev had helped Hillary Clinton, Democratic Candidate, back in 2016. Yuriy Lutsenko, Ukrainian Prosecutor General, has launched an investigation into Ukrainian meddling in the 2016 US presidential election.
